Florida Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking — Despite ‘No Drugs Allowed’ Sign on Home
Deputies in Highlands County arrested a 76-year-old man on several drug trafficking charges after finding a large stash of narcotics and cash inside a home that ironically displayed a sign reading, “Absolutely no drugs allowed on the premises.”
Search Leads to Major Drug Discovery
The Highlands County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said detectives served a search warrant at 935 S. Delaney Street, the residence of John Wesley Moss, on charges related to drug trafficking.
Inside the home, authorities discovered 31.5 ounces of cocaine, 36.1 grams of OxyContin, 442.2 grams of marijuana, 17 grams of alprazolam, 5.6 grams of morphine, and 4.29 grams of methamphetamine. Deputies also found $20,000 in cash and several handguns.
No Bond for 76-Year-Old Suspect
Moss was booked into the Highlands County Jail and is being held without bond, according to jail records. He faces multiple counts of drug trafficking and possession charges following the search.
