Father of the Bride Offers Reception Meal to Homeless After Canceled Wedding
An anonymous bride and her father have decided to make the best of a bad situation. After the bride's wedding was canceled, they decided to give the reception dinner to a homeless shelter.
The $8,000 meal will feed 150 homeless people through the Ventura County Rescue Mission. Mission’s director John Saltee calls it a blessing. “We’re going to bring the kids and the moms,” Saltee said, “and take those kinds of people over there, to enjoy something they’ve never had the opportunity to partake in.”
