When the sun is shining and the weather is warm, it's a great day for golf. It's also a great day for a fist fight amongst the elderly.

A 77-year-old Florida man punched his 84-year-old friend over golf etiquette at the Villages.

The incident happened in Sumter County Florida. Two men arguing on the green led to one of them getting charged with battery and the other with a bruised face.

This is how I imagine the fight went down. Except the poles are their putters:

The incident happened at De La Vista Golf Course on San Marino Drive. Richard Randell, 77, entered a not guilty plea for his alleged crime against his 84-year-old friend.

At the scene of the fight was a third friend of the two angry men. The third friend told police that the two men had started arguing around the fourth hole, which apparently was something they did often.

It was reported that the victim told Randall, who was standing on the green near the hole — to move, to which Randell replied, saying he knew the etiquette of the game.

That comment started an argument to which the victim flipped off Randall.

That finger upset Randall. He approached the victim and said, "do that again, and I will hit you."

I bet you can guess what happened next...

The victim flipped Randall off again and that's where sh*t got violent.

Randall reportedly punched his friend in the face, and the friend fell to the ground.

I assume Randall channeled his inner Rockey and hit him with that quick uppercut. POW POW!

The victim was taken to the hospital with a visibly swollen bruise on the side of his face.

Randell was arrested on a charge of battery on a person 65 years or older.

I think these two friends need to find a new pastime to do together... I suggest Bingo. It's much less violent.
