Florida Woman Reports Uber Eats Driver Spits on Her, Steals Fall Decorations
A late-night food delivery turned chaotic when a Polk County Florida woman confronted an Uber Eats driver, leading to allegations of assault and theft of fall decorations.
Uber Eats Driver Goes Wild In Davenport Florida
The incident occurred shortly before midnight last month when Alexsandra Del Valle Acosta Aguilar, an Uber Eats driver, arrived at a Davenport residence. The homeowner, who had ordered food, claimed she saw the driver taking items from her delivery bag.
Upon noticing the alleged theft, the homeowner stepped outside to confront Del Valle Acosta Aguilar. As the two women exchanged words under the porch, the situation escalated dramatically. The victim observed Del Valle Acosta Aguilar holding her $10 “Happy Fall Y’all” sign. When the homeowner attempted to reclaim the sign, the driver reportedly spat in her face.
Stealing More Than Just Her Food
Startled, the homeowner covered herself with the sign and attempted to distance herself from the driver, only to be blocked by her own closed front door. The altercation didn’t end there; Del Valle Acosta Aguilar then allegedly took a decorative urn from the yard and returned to her vehicle. Before leaving, the victim noticed one of her decorative columns near the suspect’s car.
Following the confrontation, the homeowner discovered that four decorative plaster pumpkins, valued at approximately $75 each, were also missing.
Tracking The Uber Eats Driver
Authorities tracked Del Valle Acosta Aguilar to her home in Winter Garden, where she acknowledged making the delivery but denied taking any items. Although the victim struggled to identify her in a photo lineup due to a brain injury, she provided a description that matched the driver.
Based on the victim’s statement and Uber Eats records, police arrested Del Valle Acosta Aguilar. She now faces charges of burglary with assault and grand theft.
