For the entire month of May, the Davenport Menards is doing a donation drive for the Kings Harvest Pet Rescue No-Kill Shelter.

If donating to homeless animals is something that interests you, here's how you can help:

If you happen to be shopping and would like to help our homeless animals out, some of our biggest needs are tidy cat clumping litter, paper plates, paper towels, brooms and dust pans, Mops and Nyla bones. You can buy these in the store and leave them in their donation box.

According to Kings Harvest's Facebook post, all you have to do is purchase a pet item at Menards and then leave it in the donation box.

Kings Harvest is grateful for any and every donation and thanks to everyone who is able to help out!

If you have never heard of Kings Harvest Pet Rescue, they are a no-kill, non-profit, charitable 501c3 organization serving the Quad Cities and surrounding areas. They are located at 2504 W Central Park Ave, Davenport, IA 52804.

Our goal is to serve our community by taking in homeless and surrendered pets and finding them loving, forever homes through our comprehensive adoption process. We strive to address the issue of overpopulation by providing a spay and neuter program for low income families. We also offer assistance with our pet food pantry and temporary pet placement for the homeless that reside in our shelter. The public, our staff members and our volunteers are all viewed as partners in improving animal welfare in our community.
