Couple Accused of Stealing $1,000 Worth of Beer From Target

A couple in Baton Rouge have been arrested in connection to a string of thefts from a local Target.

On March 1st, the East Baton Rouge retail theft division began investigating the recent beer thefts that dated back to February 24th.

Security video showed all the thefts had been committed by the same couple, who would come into the store and load a cart up with beer before walking out the front door without paying. They had six trips to the store over the course of a week, stealing over $1000 of beer.

Matthew and Ashley Forbes were arrested on counts of theft and entry in places after being forbidden.
