59-year-old Miriam Mimms was attending the Pensacola Christmas parade when she stepped into the street to pick something up and fell into the path of a float.

A safety person with the float spotted Mimms and pulled her head away from the tire of the float. Instead Mimms' left torso was ran over and she is recovering in stable condition.

The parade was delayed for 30 minutes and the incident is still under investigation.
