Record-Breaking Shoplifting Spree Unveiled

The Long Beach City Prosecutor's Office unveiled the details in a criminal complaint, highlighting the theft of handbags, jeans, and various other items. City Prosecutor Douglas Haubert expressed astonishment at the duration of Miller’s alleged shoplifting streak. "I've never seen a person go this long without being caught," Haubert told KCAL News on Thursday.

How Much Did She End Up Steaing?

The total value of the stolen merchandise is estimated to be around $6,000, with each individual theft amounting to less than $950. According to the City Prosecutor's Office, Miller reportedly used anti-theft wire cutters to remove some of the merchandise.

Miller is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday in a Long Beach courtroom, facing 30 misdemeanor theft charges. Prosecutors are prepared to add more charges or cases if evidence of additional retail thefts emerges. Haubert emphasized the audacity of the crimes, calling them "particularly alarming."

TJ Maxx Kept Track Of Her

This case was made possible through the relentless efforts of TJ Maxx employees who consistently filed theft reports and documented the incidents with photos and videos. Haubert also praised the Long Beach Police Department for their thorough investigation and dedication to compiling the case.

Adding another layer to the case, it was revealed that Miller was already on misdemeanor probation for theft during five of the alleged shoplifting incidents.

As the community awaits the outcome of Miller’s arraignment, this case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and collaboration between retailers and law enforcement to combat persistent theft.
