Bronx Store Clerk Assaulted By Avocados

Police in New York say that two suspects who entered the Stadium Gourmet Deli last month were angry over a food order.

A 21-year-old clerk was on the receiving end of their rage when the pair started throwing unripened avocados and eventually bananas at the man. The victim was hospitalized with a broken jaw and a cut on his face.

Surveillance footage caught the attack:

"Somebody try to give you service, how you throw him with avocado? This is no good," said Hani Jirgis, the store's owner. "The guy, he needed surgery on his eyes. I don't know, what I say man, this action that he do is not normal."
