Blood Orange Pale Ale from Green Tree in LeClaire is What's Tappe

No, it's not an IPA...it's a Blood Orange Infused Pale Ale. A delicious, refreshing, aromatic pale ale from Green Tree Brewery in LeClaire.

Thanks to Doc for hooking us up with a growler and for making tonight's radio show more like a carnival ride than a job.

The first thing you notice when you crack this beer open is the amazing smell of oranges. The taste is just a good too with a super fruity (but not too fruity) taste and a bit of bitterness that makes you think of that bit of peel that gets left behind on the slices.

Make your way to Davenport for the Jaycees Bar-B-QC Craft Beer Tasting on Saturday, October 2nd and ride along with Tour de Brew to multiple QC watering holes, stop into Crawford Brew Works in Bettendorf for The Arc's Slice of the QC to vote on your favorite QC Pizza, or head up the river just a short drive to Clinton for the Riverview Bacon & Brew Fest.

We've compiled a quick list (by no means comprehensive) of venues in the Quad Cities that are no longer music venues but to us will ALWAYS hold a special place were we saw some great shows and made some incredible memories.

To many of us the live music scene wasn't just a concert here & there. It was an every weekend affair. And it didn't matter if it was a touring band or your buddy's band. We were going to be there with a beer in hand and scream along with guitars that were way too loud in a room that was improperly treated acoustically and make some bad decisions.
