Adventurous Brewing True to Name with Pickle Ale
Listen...if you're going to call yourself "Adventurous Brewing" you can't make JUST the run of the mill lagers & stouts. You've got to branch out and push the boundaries.
Charlie Cole stopped in to Adventurous' newly opened taproom in Bettendorf and brought in 2 beers that are meant to be drank together. It was scary at first because he literally told me NOTHING about what we were going to drink before he poured me a glass.
He knows I'm not a sour beer lover. Quite the opposite mostly. But as I looked at the label art I was intrigued. "Heavenly Crisp" and "Devilishly Crisp" was on the men. Each a Sour Ale with Pickle Juice (with or without peppers).
I'm sorry to say we lost audio with our normal video we shoot in studio (or zoom) but I can say...if you are into pickle juice or sour beers at all you need to try this.
I prefered the "Devilishly Crisp" ale with the peppers because it punched me in the throat nicely after the sour subsided.
