The Bettendorf High School campus will see increased security today after a message indicating a potential threat was received by administration.

Superintendent Mike Raso released the following statement:

Bettendorf High School received a message today indicating a potential threat at our campus tomorrow (Friday, November 16). District and high school administration have been working with the Bettendorf Police Department and the FBI investigating the situation. Both agencies do not believe this is a credible threat and support the high school proceeding with school tomorrow. Although determined a prank, out of an abundance of caution, the high school will have added security on campus tomorrow.
