30-Year-Old Stash of Beer and Gum Found in Library

The Walla Walla Public Library found someone's unclaimed stash hidden behind some shelving, but it's been there a minute.

A facility crew member removed the corner panel from a 1970's-era shelving unit with an open top. He found the usual dead bugs and dust, but he found a five unopened cans of the greatest hot day beer of all time, and a pack of gum.

Because of the warnings printed on alcohol, they were able to determine the beer is from before November of 1988, but the Godzilla Heads gum is from the late 80's.

The library said the "artifacts" were transferred to another city facility: The Sudbury Landfill.
