Help a Quad Cities Music Venue Open Back Up
A music venue in Moline has run into a red tape nightmare. The kind that can put a place out of business. Without the proper license they can't host shows. Without shows, they can't pay for the license.
It's a catch 22 for The Island-QCDIY
So, if you're a fan of music & the arts, perhaps you'd like to donate to the cause. You can send a paypal donations via alexandermahaffey12@gmail.com
Or, if you're so inclined, maybe you'd like to sign the petition that shows the city you support live music venues.
They've got bands booked...but no venue.
From the petition:
"This venue has become a staple of local culture in the Quad Cities and has become a part of an international network of artists, promoters and fans. We have hosted artists from every corner of the country as well as half a dozen other countries in the year since we have opened. This space is unique in the Quad Cities, being that it offers an alternative and secure space to devote to the creation and sharing of art. The sooner we can get a license to legally re-open, the less shows we will have to rebook and the more we can continue to service our community."
