Burglars Break Into Washington Starbucks by Digging Through Wall
Authorities in Kitsap County, Washington, are searching for the suspects behind a burglary at a Kingston Starbucks. Deputies with the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) responded to the coffee shop, located along Highway 104, in the early hours of August 8 after receiving a report of a break-in.
Hole in the Wall Leads to Early Morning Discovery
When deputies arrived just before 4 a.m., they were met with an unusual scene—a large hole had been dug straight through the wall of the Starbucks. Investigators later determined the suspects had gained entry by breaking in through an empty storefront next door before tunneling directly into the coffee shop.
Damage Inside the Store
Once inside, the burglars targeted multiple areas of the store. According to KCSO, they rummaged through cash drawers, cut computer cables, searched through cabinets, and damaged a safe in what appeared to be an attempt to access its contents. It has not yet been confirmed if any cash or valuables were taken.
The method of entry and the tools used to break through the wall remain unclear, leaving investigators puzzled about how the suspects carried out the unusual heist.
Investigation Ongoing
Detectives are now reviewing evidence and seeking tips from the public in hopes of identifying the person or people responsible. The vacant business next to the Starbucks has also been examined as part of the investigation.
KCSO urges anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident or has information about the suspects to come forward.
The Starbucks location sustained significant damage from the break-in, though the company has not announced when it will reopen. The case remains under active investigation.
