Fox has made the decision to hand The Simpsons another two-season renewal, meaning the show will be on until at least 2023.

The renewal gives Disney time to decide whether the series will remain on Fox, or if it would rather move the show to another network or streaming service.

Should the company opt to move the show, it would open up for a new billion-dollar broadcast, cable and streaming pact for the show, which would be the first time since the show originally launched in 1989.

Currently, the full library is available on Disney+, and the newest episodes are available on Disney-owned Hulu.

"It's a sincere pleasure to announce the season 33 and 34 pickups for The Simpsons. We keep hoping that, eventually, they’ll get it right," said Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier. "Profound respect for and congratulations to Matt, Jim, Al and the many other wonderful partners working really hard to finally elevate The Tracey Ullman Show. As they say, 'practice makes perfect.'"
