The Most Popular Super Bowl Foods In Iowa and Illinois
If you're hosting a party on Super Bowl Sunday, but you're not sure what food or beer to get you have two options: Ask your guests what they like, or read what a Dopey DJ has to say about some lame survey says.
Overall, cocktail weenies swept the nation in the survey, winning eleven states: Connecticut, Colorado, Michigan, Indiana, Nebraska, Mississippi, Minnesota, North Dakota, Virginia, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
Other states had some more interesting picks, such as Lobster Dip (Washington), Loaded Potato Skins (Alabama, Georgia).
BUT... if you're an Iowan, what food should you be prepping? Irish Stew. Iowa is the only state in the survey that came up with that answer. As I think back, I don't know that there's been Super Bowl party I've been to that has had Irish Stew.
Illinois falls in line with 6 other states that enjoyed Seven Layer Dip. Lame.
All in all, your spread should have:
- Irish Stew
- Cocktail Wieners
- Buffalo Chicken Dip
- Seven Layer Dip
- Wings
- Nachos
- Pretzels
- Beer Cheese Dip
As far as what beer to get, you're providing the food. Tell your free loading friends this party is BYOB.
