Sunday March 8th is International Women's Day and to celebrate, Geneseo Brewing Co is encouraging women interested in brewing beer, or female beer enthusiasts to come join them for a day of brewing!

9am any woman 21 & older can show up and participate at no charge.  They'll mash malted grains & learn all about the brewing process "from grain to glass."

The Pink Boots Society are the female movers and shakers in the beer industry. They own breweries, package the beer, design beers, serve beers, write about beer, and cover just about any aspect of beer, and most importantly, they teach others what through seminars and help each other advance their beer careers by raising money for educational scholarships.

Basically any commercial brewery can purchase this Pink Boots blend of hops (that changes from year to year) and for each pound of hops purchased...the Yakima Chief Hops donate $3 per pound to the Pink Boots Society to further their mission to assist, inspire, and encourage female beer industry professionals to advance their careers through education.

The brew day will conclude about 5 p.m. and there is no cost to participants.
