One of Disney's most signature rides had to be shutdown for a time this week not because of a ride malfunction, but because of a rider malfunction.

A 13-year-old rider aboard a log of Tiana's Bayou Adventure log ride hopped out of the ride while it was moving, just before the 50-foot waterfall.

The ride, at Disneyland in California, was previously known as Splash Mountain, but underwent rebranding to be a ride focused around the animated Princess & The Frog movie.

Footage that was captured when the incident happened on Sunday by another visitor of the park showed the 13-year-old climb out of the back of the ride just before the 50-foot drop, and then falling down the water-covered track.

TMZ reported that the teen was taken to a hospital for evaluation after the incident, but was noted to not have suffered any sort of serious injuries from the fall.

Now, the fall is under investigation from California officials with the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health - known better as Cal/OSHA. After their intial inspection of the ride, they deemed it safe and allowed the ride to be reopened.
