Davenport Police Find Illegal Boner Meds, Weed, Gun, And Almost $50K In Cash In Gas Station Bust

A man from Rockford is in some very hot water and looking at felony charges after police say he used two gas stations he owns in Davenport to run a drug and prescription pipeline.

According to police, 38-year-old Ali A Thabet is accused of working with his employees at the two Breeze Market Shell stations he owns along Brady Street to sell marijuana, other THC products, and sex enhancement drugs that are not legal in the United States.

And no, we're not talking about the rhino pills at the counter.

Police searched the Breeze Market Shell on Brady Street during an investigation into marijuana distribution back in April, and during the investigation, one of the employees sold an officer marijuana during a controlled purchase.

During the search, police found a ton of items that are illegal:

• 26 packs of Viagra Jelly (Illegal in USA)
• 150 pills of Viagra
• 40 THC carts
• 11 six-packs of pre-rolled marijuana
• $45,863 in cash

Officers said a co-defendant told them he sells the pre-rolls and Viagra. They told officers the items belonged to the owner, Ali Thabet. So, they searched the other Breeze Market Shell.

During the search of that store, police found:

• 51 THC cartridges
• 3 Viagra pills
• 2 packs of Viagra Jelly
• 6 THC drinks
• 3 digital scales
• 6 marijuana pre-rolled blunts
• A loaded Glock 17 pistol
• $1,823 in cash

Thabet owns both of the gas stations, and the co-defendant conspired with him to sell the products from the businesses.

Thabet is charged with:

• Felony ongoing criminal conduct, unlawful activity
• Felony failure to affix drug stamp
• Felony controlled substance violation
