San Diego, California

A feud between neighbors over a wandering cat has gone viral as one pet owner accuses the other of being a "cat pervert".

Viewers are finding the showdown entertaining as the two men argue over the feline, named Mercury, with one claiming that the other is intentionally luring the cat onto his property. The rightful owner of the cat demands that his neighbor stop and instructs him to shoo the cat away with hand gestures and commands in English. However, when the neighbor reminds him that cats do not understand English or hand signals, the owner threatens to call the police.

Quote From The Neighbor

"My neighbors have a very friendly outdoor cat that likes to hang out in my yard. The cat is free to come and go as it pleases. For some reason, they don’t like that, and decided it’s my job to tell the cat where and where not to go. Before I started recording, they said I was 'manipulating' the cat by 'befriending' it. They did end up calling the police after I stopped recording, but the police almost immediately hung up on them. The cat was right back in my yard the next morning."

  • @brookiebrooke928: Clearly these people don’t understand how cats work. You don’t own a cat, a cat owns you. If they were actual cat ppl they’d know this. Also…”cat pervert”?! These people are too much
  • @theresenydahl9531: Mercury the cat obviously found a way better home and is staying there.
  • @VariationsOnASeam: LOL! He's going to call the police over a cat pervert harboring his cat. This is so weird. I'm glad the guy filming seems entertained but I feel bad he has to live next to this weirdo.
