Couple Sat Down And Ordered Tacos While Running From Police

San Antonio police reported that a couple involved in a car crash attempted to evade capture by heading to a nearby restaurant.

There, they decided to enjoy some tacos while hiding from the authorities. Unfortunately, their hiding spot wasn't very secure, as the man was discovered after he accidentally fell through the ceiling of the men's restroom. Meanwhile, the woman was caught hiding inside one of the restaurant's restrooms and was taken into custody.

The Crash

At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, the trouble began when the SUV they were operating disregarded a red traffic signal and collided with another vehicle in the vicinity of Interstate 10 and Hildebrand Avenue.

On The Run

After fleeing the scene, the couple hurried to a nearby restaurant where they hastily ordered some tacos, as reported by a staff member at the eatery. As they waited for their food, the police got in touch with the restaurant and provided a description of the fugitives.

Notifying Authorities

The employees promptly notified the authorities of their whereabouts. Upon spotting the police approaching the restaurant, the couple panicked and attempted to elude them by running away and hiding. The man frantically took refuge in a utility closet, then clambered up into the attic. Unfortunately, he was crawling on the roof when the structure collapsed beneath him.

Police said he tried to climb back into the attic but he was cornered.

Their names and ages have not yet been released. The investigation is ongoing.
