Greetings All!

Welcome to this week's show!  We're less than two months away from the election.  From President down to local offices, there are many reasons to get out and vote.  We here at QC Veterans' Roll Call want to make sure that everyone who is eligible to vote is able to do so.  To that end, we invited onto the show Roxanna Moritz, the Scott County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections.  She discussed the process of getting registered to vote, early voting, absentee voting and poll times in Iowa.

Our second guest is Mr. Bishop Garrison.  He is a surrogate for Secretary Clinton's Presidential Campaign.  Mr. Garrison serves as the Deputy Foreign Policy Adviser to the campaign.  A 2002 graduate of The United States Military Campaign at West Point, he served two tours of duty in Iraq and has other Federal service.  We discussed a variety of subjects related to Veteran and national security matters.

As we are a non-partisan show, we have been reaching out to various Republican campaigns, including Mr. Trump's.  We hope to have on surrogates from other candidates.  Who knows, perhaps Mr. Trump might even make an appearance.

Finally, our show's producer, Zack James, and I talked about sports, including the ongoing controversy with NFL players not standing for The National Anthem.  We discussed the West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette Supreme Court case from 1943 and a great article that legal scholar Jeffrey Toobin wrote in The New Yorker a few days ago.  You can read the article by left-clicking  here.

Thanks to all who support our show.  Please spread the word and if there is a guest you would like to hear, please let us know who, their topic and contact information.  Thanks for listening to QC Veterans' Roll Call radio show!

Best regards,
Jeno
