Nude Driver in Nebraska Arrested After Traffic Stop Leads to Stolen Motorcycle and Drug Bust

A Madison County deputy’s early Sunday traffic stop for faulty trailer lights escalated into a strange and multi-charge arrest when the driver was found naked and hauling a stolen motorcycle.

Around 1 a.m., deputies spotted a pickup truck with Iowa plates towing a flatbed trailer with no working lights along Highway 81, just north of Norfolk, Nebraska. The truck continued for a short distance before stopping on Northeast Industrial Highway.

Driver Claims Heat and Sweat Allergy

When the deputy approached, the driver — identified as 47-year-old Kipp Polston of Iowa — was unclothed, holding a pair of pants over himself. According to authorities, Polston told the deputy he was overheated and “allergic to his own sweat.”

Officials say Polston’s driver’s license was already suspended, and during the stop, his behavior shifted, at one point appearing disoriented before regaining alertness. He was arrested for driving under suspension. While in custody, deputies say he admitted to having a marijuana pipe and “dab” — a term for concentrated cannabis — inside the truck.

Search Uncovers Drugs, Weapons, and Stolen Property

A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed a container of suspected THC concentrate, a marijuana water pipe with burnt residue, and a pistol case holding a BB gun with its serial numbers obscured. The trailer carried two motorcycles — one confirmed stolen and another belonging to a different Iowa resident.

Resisting Arrest Before Jail Booking

Deputies say Polston initially resisted arrest, dropping to the ground and claiming claustrophobia until a second officer arrived to assist. He was taken to the Madison County Jail and booked on multiple charges, including theft, drug possession, resisting arrest, driving under suspension, and defective vehicle lighting.

The truck, trailer, and both motorcycles were impounded as part of the investigation.
