The Muscatine Triathlon is coming up this weekend, and even if you're not a Triathlon-er, there's so much going on for everyone to have fun!

Race Day Schedule - Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 at Deep Lakes Park:

  • 5:00 AM: Deep Lakes Park opens
  • 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM: Packet pick-up and athlete check-in at the registration tent
  • 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM: Lake opens for warm-up swim
  • 7:45 AM: National Anthem
  • 8:00 AM: Race start time
  • 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Kids and Park activities open

A big draw of the Muscatine Triathlon is its Elite Class Prize Purse, offering some huge awards of $5000, $2000, and $1000 for both male and female competitors, as well as age group awards. It's all for the Sprint Class Triathlon, which starts with a 750-meter swim, goes to a 12.4-mile bike ride through Muscatine, and a 5K run that finishes right in the heart of the city.

Registration for the Triathlon is open until July 31st. You can register for $100 (USAT membership required), or 2-3-person teams can join for $200 (USAT membership required). Outside the race, there's a variety of "Family Fun" activities, including a farmers market, a Kids Fitness Zone, kids' beach activities, face painting, and a dunk tank.

Don't forget the Muscatine Triathlon After Party! Three live bands, food, and drinks at The Muscatine Riverfront, starting at 4:00 PM and running until 10:00 PM.

Participants will receive an email with specific details regarding parking and pre-race instructions. For spectators, parking is located at the grass field on the corner of 57th and Pettibone, with a shuttle service available to transport everyone into the park.
