Come Together For The Greg Hipskind Memorial Jam

Music can bring people together.  Greg Hipskind knew that and helped kids in the Quad Cities not only come together as musicians, but also helped bring families together with their love of music.

On January 3rd, we lost Greg, who dedicated his life to mentoring and inspiring the next generation of musicians as the owner of the Quad City Rock Academy, which he founded in December 2011.

On Saturday, February 14, the Quad Cities will get together for the "Greg Hipskind Memorial Jam", a free concert at The Rust Belt celebrating Greg and the impact he made on music in the Quad Cities.

A Night Filled With Music

It's a Memorial Jam...and what a jam it will be.

All of the current QC Rock Academy bands will perform that night.  There will also be four graduated bands who will return to play.  Plus, Wicked Liz and the Bellyswirls (Greg's band that he drummed in) will be on stage to perform.

Plus, well, I don't want to ruin all the surprises on what will be a special night of music at The Rust Belt.

Get Your Shirts To Support Greg's Family

Greg believed in every child who walked through the doors of the QC Rock Academy, even before they believed in themselves, and he did everything in his power to nurture their passions and help them reach their true potential.

Before you arrive at the Memorial Jam, you can get a QC Rock Academy shirt or hoodie to support Greg's family.  The money raised from this fundraiser will help support Greg’s two beautiful girls and incredible wife, who he leaves behind.

Shirts will be available at The Rust Belt at the Memorial Jam on February 14th, but you can have yours before the show by ordering one here.

Make Memories and Take Home Memories

There will be music and memories shared, and there will be chances for you to take home some instruments and rock memorabilia.

Guitars and other instruments, autographed guitars and other autographed merch will all be available in a silent auction, or one of the raffles taking place.
