Aren't we all having such fun lately?

Every other person I've talked to this week has been fighting allergies. It's that moment when our voices drop two registers and our nose might as well fall off. And geez, I'm sitting here sniffling as I type this.

And what do we all blame it on?

The pollen. It's always the pollen. Because it's spring.

The worst offender for us right now is tree pollen. Experts say tree pollen in particular can make you tired, contribute to fatigue, and obviously smack you upside the nose with allergies. Tree pollen is what can turn your car green. Wind also contributes to the distribution of pollen and Iowa had it's second windiest March on record.

If there's any silver lining to dealing with tree pollen, remember what it even does in nature in the first place. It's tree fertilization, allowing trees to produce fruits or whatever they make.

It's Almost Over

Typically, tree pollen season ends in May. That's only in a few weeks. You've almost made it! (Then we can just all fry all summer)

Tree pollen counts tend to go up after sunrise, so if you need an excuse not to go anywhere in the coming days, there you go. Blame it on the trees.
