Iowans Drinking More on The Job From Home Compared to Other States
If you're working from home, there's no driving involved. You're not commuting home from work, so you can crack open a beer sooner. For some, it's turning out they're cracking open the first one before the work day is even over with. Who's even going to know?
A new survey from Alcohol.org found that a good majority of the country has drank at home while on the clock since this quarantine started, and found out a few more details.
- Beer is the drink of choice during work hours
- 1 in 3 say they've drank more since self-isolations began
- 1 in 5 say they stockpiled alcohol before quarantining started
Hawaii had the highest numbers, at 67% of people having a drink in one hand and typing with another.
In Iowa, 47% said they've been drinking while working from home, which is significantly higher than most of the country's average of around 30%.
Illinois said only 23% drank while punched in.
