Heinz Fights “No Ketchup” with Chicago Dog Sauce
This may just be a Chicago thing, but I'm a firm believer that ketchup NEVER goes on a hot dog. Now Heinz is just playing dirty.
Heinz just unveiled a new sauce for National Hot Dog Day as a way to get around the "no ketchup on hot dogs" rule. The company's "Chicago Dog Sauce" is made from ripe tomatoes and a blend of spices and flavorings.
Ketchup. They rebranded ketchup to trick the people of Chicago into eating it on their franks.
With comments like, "Never buying Heinz products again." and "Someone at Heinz has a death wish." I think they've made a breakthrough.
The "sauce" is available for $5 online or you can just buy a regular bottle of ketchup.
