Florida Woman Arrested After Allegedly Stabbing Boyfriend Over Uneaten Meal
A 43-year-old woman in Florida was arrested for aggravated battery, after she stabbed her boyfriend. It happened during an argument that started because the boyfriend wouldn't eat the woman's cooking.
Domestic Dispute Turns Violent
A Coral Springs woman was taken into custody last week after allegedly attacking her boyfriend with a kitchen knife when he refused to eat her cooking. Police arrested 43-year-old Nativita Auguste on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon following the incident on February 26.
According to a report from the Coral Springs Police Department, officers responded to a disturbance near the 8500 block of Northwest 35th Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Auguste attempting to hide in nearby bushes.
Argument Escalates to Assault
The victim told police that an argument erupted between him and Auguste over his reluctance to eat the meal she had prepared. As tensions rose, Auguste allegedly slapped him while he was sitting in the living room. When he confronted her about the slap in the kitchen, she reportedly grabbed an eight-inch knife and swung it at him.
In an attempt to defend himself, the victim raised his arm and sustained a two-inch cut on his forearm. At that moment, a witness called 911. Realizing police had been contacted, Auguste fled the apartment but was later found near her residence on Woodside Drive.
Suspect Denies Using a Knife
Authorities transported the victim to Broward Health, where he received stitches before being released. Investigators processed the scene, recovering the kitchen knife and finding blood in the living room, consistent with the victim’s account.
During questioning, Auguste admitted she was upset about her boyfriend refusing to eat with her but denied using a knife, claiming instead that she struck him with a napkin holder.
Auguste was arrested without incident and booked into the Broward County Main Jail.
