Florida Man Robs Miami Gardens Store With Cardboard Box On His Head
On Saturday, a man in Miami Gardens was taken into custody following a strange burglary at a phone repair store.

What Did He Do?
Surveillance footage captured him stealing items while donning a cardboard box on his head.
NBC6 received a video from the owner of Irepair Tech, situated at 4500 Northwest 183rd Street in Miami Gardens, showcasing a man donning a cardboard box over his head.
What Was On Tape?
The footage reveals him breaking the glass displays and snatching the phones. Jeremias Berganza, the owner of the store, observed the incident around 4 a.m. on Saturday and scrutinized the surroundings of the shopping plaza where his business is located, after recognizing the perpetrator's face on the surveillance video.
Looking For The Suspect
Berganza instructed individuals to inform him if they spotted the suspect. Eventually, he discovered that the culprit was at the same plaza, casually sipping on drinks with his friends at a liquor store nearby. Berganza quickly contacted the Miami Gardens Police Department, who then apprehended the man.
Claude Vincent Griffin, 33 years old, has been accused of grand theft, burglary, cocaine possession, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest without violence.
According to Berganza, the thief stole 19 iPhones and $8,000 in cash --- a total of $15,000 were stolen.
