Florida Highway Patrolman Hits 142 MPH in Pursuit, Catches Cruiser on Fire
This just goes to show, no matter how fast you're going, the cops can go faster and will do it to catch up to you.
An officer on the Florida Highway Patrol posted footage from his dashcam from an incident earlier this year. He spotted a speeder and started a pursuit to issue a ticket.
The cruiser reached a top speed of 142 mph while the officer casually weaved in and out of traffic while saying, "Don’t try this at home, kids."
Eventually the speeder pulled over and the patrolman parked behind them. Well, the underside of the cruiser was so hot from the chase that it started the dry grass on fire.
