New Fear Unlocked
A woman walking in Peru had a sudden surprise when an electrical overload caused a square of concrete to fly out of the sidewalk. She fell into the hole where the sidewalk was, and then the square landed on her arm. A member of the military was passing by when the overload happened, and was able to jump into action and help her.
Iron Maiden's Nico McBrain Retires
Iron Maiden's longtime drummer, Nico McBrain, announced he is going to step away from the band. He was in the news a year ago because he suffered a stroke. He's also 72 years old - probably about the right age to get off the stage.
First Guy Through The Lake
The first person to go through the lake up near where Michaels hangs out in Wisconsin for the season has just happened this weekend.
There was only 4" of ice, and he tried to drive his Grand Cherokee across the lake.
They got it out of the lake, but it doesn't look like it's gonna be driving around anytime soon.
A Change To Frosty The Snowman

The Ruby Slippers Sold At Auction
One of the four pairs of ruby slippers left from the filming of The Wizard Of Oz. The auction house expected them to go for $3M - and that was passed in seconds after the auction went live.
These shoes were the ones that were at a museum on loan, got stolen and disappeared for a time, before being returned where they should be. So, you factor in that story, and you've got increased value....
They sold for $28M, but after the taxes and fees, that means $32.5M.
