MASSIVE Field Goal From Bettendorf High School
This weekend, in a 33-14 win over Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Bettendorf High School's Caden Buhr made history with a 57-yard field goal. It's unbelievable. To put things into perspective, the Iowa Hawkeyes' record for a COLLEGE field goal is 57 yards.
In Other Football News
After upsetting No. 1 Alabama, Vanderbilt's fans pulled down the goalpost and carried it 2.5 miles to Broadway in Nashville to throw it in the Cumberland River.
The fire department had to fish it out of the river, and someone got this great video of the search and rescue team working with the firefighters to get it out, while a homeless guy stood next to them shouting to them what to do, while a pedalpub with a bachelorette party was just a few feet away doing their own partying.
Also worth mentioning, the Ole Miss head coach stopped his press conference to watch the end of the game, and saying "This is like a once-in-a-lifetime thing going on."
New Doc To Watch
If you're watching true crime, be sure to check out this new one on Netflix, about the jailbreak story from a few years ago where the prisoner and his girlfriend the prison guard busted him out of jail.
It's called Jailbreak: Love On The Run.
Disney Boat Show Goes Wrong
A boat scene happening during a show at Disney had a problem when Dopey misstepped and fell through a railing. If it weren't for Goofy's head leaning over the edge of the railing, he would've fallen straight down into the water, but Goofy's head saved him. He bounced off of Goofy's head and dropped softly to the next deck.
Hairball Running Heavy Machinery
Hairball rented a skid from The Rental Guys this weekend to fill some settled areas where his house had foundation work done.
Go ahead and judge his skills, but he got the job done.
Iowa State White Out Uniforms
Iowa State played this weekend against Baylor (and won to continue a 5-0 winning streak), and they played in white-out uniforms. How'd you feel about them?
