Davenport’s Truck Eating Bridge Has An Early Morning Snack
This morning just after 4:30am, the Brady Street Truck Eating Bridge in Davenport took another victim this morning - a truck hauling dog food.
By the time we arrived on the scene, three wreckers were present with traffic cones blocking the lanes, and a second semi (who used the PROPER truck route to get to the location) to snag the undamaged pallets off the back of the truck so it could still make its delivery.
It looked like while the crews worked to clean up the mess, the driver remained inside the damaged tractor, waiting for the all-clear - or someone to come pick him up to take him home.
As a reminder, because sometimes the multiple sections of flashing lights and signs aren't enough, if your truck is over 11 feet, 8 inches, you WILL NOT FIT UNDER THIS BRIDGE.
