A man wearing the whole Chuck E. Cheese costume was taken from his place of work in Florida in handcuffs because of some felony charges related to some credit card spending on cards that were not his.

As a bunch of kids watched who they thought was their hero, police cuffed 41-year-old Jermell Jones.

The police report says that her "child support Visa debit card" had been stolen recently by a Chuck E. Cheese employee who was using the card on purchases at Whataburger, smoke shops, supermarkets, and Circle K.

Michelle Alan, the complainant, was a regular at that Chuck E. Cheese and said the last time she had her card was at the restaurant.

In her own investigating, she went to the places the card was used, and watched surveillance footage and recognized the guy as one of the Chuck E. Cheese employees.

After confirming that Jones was the one in the costume, the officer told him, "Chuck E. Cheese, I need you to come with me," but Jones allegedly struggled, and the officers had to cuff him in front of the surely traumatized children.

A frisk of Jones not only turned up the card, but a receipt for a purchase made with the card.

The furry mouse head was removed before he was placed in the back of the squad car.

Jones has previously been convicted of theft, cocaine possession, resisting, trespassing, and marijuana possession.
