October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for the sixth time, people from all over the Quad Cities area will be getting together to Gather For The Cure.

Hosted by MercyOne Genesis, it's an annual get together that celebrates breast cancer survivorship, provide education and resources, and honor those who have been impacted by breast cancer.

Funds raised during the Gather For The Cure helps fund no-cost breast cancer screenings, community outreach, and educational programs that bring hope and healing to individuals and families throughout the community.

The Gather For The Cure is a full afternoon of family-friendly activities, including a Gilda's Club art session, survivor stories, food and drink, prizes, and a one-mile walk. It all happens at the Whispering Pines Shelter at Scott County Park on October 18th from 12pm-2pm.

Early bird registration ends on August 31st, and the final registration deadline is September 30th.

Drink For The Cure

If walking a mile isn't for you, but you'd still like to help, there's a perfect opportunity on September 8th from 5pm-8pm at Great River Brewery.

Enjoy food, some delicious beer, laughter, stories, and a 50/50 raffle.

10% of all food, beverage, and merchandise sales from Great River Brewery that night will benefit Gather For The Cure and support breast health programs in the area.
