One of our family of listeners was talking about his dad's Army days, from which he brought us these very cool artifacts. Now, you might think as a Serviceman the artifacts are military related--but these are way cooler!
In the early 80's, serving overseas meant there wasn't much conflict to resolve. So our friend's dad had plenty of free time to see concerts while stationed. And, one thing we learned is that concert souvenirs in the UK weren't typically the concert t-shirt like here in the States. What he brought us was a treasure trove of concert banners and scarves that were the order of the day.
We've never seen anything like these things, and they are such cool moments in time it's like a tour through the greatest bands of the time. Check out all these great mementos from back in the days when a $12 dollar ticket got you three awesome bands!
