CEO of Zoom Says He Has Zoom Fatigue
After over a year of remote working, many people around the world are getting sick of some of the aspects of not being in person.
Sure, sitting in your underwear and waking up 2 minutes before clocking in is great, but I bet you're getting tired of seeing emails saying "Zoom call at 2." Jumping into back-to-back-to-back video calls is really taking a toll, and even the top executives out there are sick of it.
Eric Yuan, the CEO of Zoom, told an audience of The Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council Summit that even he has grown tired of the constant video calls.
“I’m so tired of that,” Mr. Yuan said. “I do have meeting fatigue." He added in that he no longer books himself for back-to-back Zoom calls.
He said he's had as much as 19 Zoom calls in a day.
Zoom, like all companies, is planning to eventually return to their offices, but with a more flexible schedule. They expect to ask their employees to come into the office two days a week and work from home the rest of the time.
