Avenged Sevenfold have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with the Call of Duty video game franchise, and the most recent game in the franchise will soon allow for the band’s frontman, M. Shadows, to be a playable character.

Shadows has long been a video game fanatic and was instrumental in the creation of the band’s own Hail to the King: Deathbat playable game a few years back. Now, after continuously contributing music throughout the Call of Duty run, Shadows will actually get to enter the game world himself.

During a recent Treyarch livestream, the musician had a chance to discuss his involvement with the franchise. Speaking of getting his own character, Shadows called it a “career highlight.” The live stream clocks in at over an hour, with Shadows turning up around the one hour and 13 minute mark.

The Shadows character should be added within the coming weeks. In the interim, check out a game play trailer with his character below.

Last fall, Avenged Sevenfold released their song “Mad Hatter” that was tied to the Black Ops 4 game, with the song eventually joining “Not Ready to Die,” “Carry On” and “Jade Helm” on the Black Reign EP collecting all of the band’s Call of Duty tracks.
