Where Were The Beds Being Sold?
The recall covers a discontinued version of the platform beds, manufactured between 2019 and 2021. However, they were still being sold at major retailers—including Amazon, Walmart, and others—until as recently as April 2024.
About 137,000 beds were sold in the U.S. and another 890 in Canada. Consumers may have purchased these beds at retailers such as Bed Bath & Beyond, Wayfair, Target.com, Home Depot, eBay, Macys, and Lucid's website. The recalled beds come in sizes ranging from twin to California king and were made in Malaysia. A white label on the back of the headboard indicates the bed was made for CVB Inc. in Logan, Utah.
What Should I Do If I Have One Of These Beds?
Consumers who own the recalled beds should stop using them immediately and contact Lucid for a free replacement frame. To receive the replacement, owners will need to mark the word "recalled" on the bed's support rails, take photos, and send them to Lucid. Further details are available on Lucid's recall page.
