Butch Trucks was fondly recalled last night as friends and family gathered at the Cox Capitol Theatre in Macon, Ga. Among those on hand for the private event paying tribute to the late drummer were former Allman Brothers Band members Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Oteil Burbridge and Jaimoe, along with Jimmy Herring and Vaylor Trucks, Butch’s son and bandmate in the Freight Train Band.
