It's a struggle every year.  "How do we keep our kids active during the summer?"  I've already started a list of "to-do" items they'll have to do before screen time is allowed.  Otherwise, It's WAY too easy to sit and watch YouTube or TikTok all day and be bored out of their minds.

Part of my to-do lists include the chores of cleaning their rooms and sweeping the floors, of course.  But I plan to also include fun stuff on the to do list.

  • Fly Your Drone
  • Race Your RC Car
  • Build a Ramp for Your Bike
  • Ride the Side By Side
  • Don't Ride the Side By Side Over The Ramp

and of course...

  • Go To the Bowling Alley!

The great news is...it's free! Certain bowling alley's around the Quad Cities are participating in the Kids Bowl Free program.  Each kid is able to register for 2 free games each day of the KBF program, all summer long!

This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.

Here is a list of Quad Cities area participating bowling lanes:

Bettendorf

Moline

Davenport

All you have to do is go to KidsBowlFree.com or download the app onto your phone.  Register your kids for free with the option to buy a "family" pack so you can bowl with them at a discounted rate.

Here are some of my favorite ideas on what it could become if for some reason they would shut it down:
