White Castle Issues Recall of Frozen Sliders Over Possible Listeria Contamination
We all know White Castle for its tiny little Sliders and how tasty they are. The worst thing about White Castle is that we don't have any in the Quad Cities. The best we can get are the frozen boxes of them, which don't even take care of the cravings for the oniony burgers.
White Castle has now issued a voluntary recall of their frozen line of burgers due to a possibility of a listeria presence. The recall affects products with expiration dates between August 4, 2020 and August 17, 2020. The affected products include frozen six-pack cheeseburgers, frozen six-pack hamburgers, frozen six-pack jalapeno cheeseburgers and 16-pack hamburgers and 16-pack cheeseburgers.
Listeria is a bacterial infection that can become fatal if not treated, and can include symptoms of "High fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, the infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women."
Customers who have recalled burgers may return them to the store for a refund or throw them away. They can also contact White Castle directly at 1-800-843-2728.
