Wheel Of Fortune Contestant Wins House, Vanna Struck in Head By Confetti Cannon
One Wheel of Fortune contestant is going to be living in paradise for the rest of her life after being the first contestant to win a home from the show.
In the Final Puzzle, Laura Trammell from Mission Viejo won the house during the "Home Sweet Home" week (running April 26-30).
Wheel of Fortune partnered with Minto Communities and Margaritaville to bring a home envelope to the bonus wheel. The home given away is valued at $375,000 in Latitude Margaritaville, a "55-and-better active adult community."
The Final Puzzle Laura solved was "I Caught a Glimpse." She was speechless when she found out what she had won.
"I am beyond excited, I'm still in shock. I can't believe that just happened," she later told Pat Sajak.
Trammell and her husband plan to tour some of the different Latitude Margaritaville communities in May to solidify their plans, according to a news release.
Laura won $398,690 between cash and prizes including a trip to Margaritaville Vacation Club St. Thomas.
As the confetti cannons went off during the celebration, Vanna White was making her way across the stage when she was struck in the head by a wad of confetti.
