Waffle House Introduces Bacon & Kegs Craft Beer
It's a shame that there's no Waffle House near the Quad Cities. I guess I should focus on the positive and just be happy that we've got an IHOP...but I can't but feel like we're getting ripped off.
With even more insult to injury...this new Waffle House collaboration is even further away! Here's the deal:
Oconee Brewing Company in Greensboro, GA has collaborated with the Waffle House to create their first ever craft beer. Bacon & Kegs is a bacon infused red ale
"6.5% abv. Dark red in color. The beloved scent of bacon stands out from the typical medium hop aroma of a red ale. The malty sweetness of the base beer blends perfectly with the salty, savory, and smokey bacon extract to create a delicious and unique beer. Bacon & Kegs pairs well with breakfast food items (obviously!) or can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, soon to be iconic beer."
They're going to sell it in six packs or draft (including growlers) exclusively at Oconee Brewing Company beginning Friday, December 18. So if you've got holiday plans or maybe some friends & family in the area...you know what to put on your Christmas list.
Maybe we need our local breweries to collaborate with other local iconic establishments?
Do we want to know what a Magic Mountain Marzen would taste like? Or a Beethoven's Barrel Aged Ale? Maybe a Paula Sands Stout would be a nice afternoon drink?
