It's that time of year!  Time to start turning your attention towards those less fortunate than yourself. Yes, it is possible to spread a little holiday cheer even in October!  I'll prove it.

This Sunday join the ABATE of Iowa District 21 for their annual Toy Run.  Sunday, October 18, 2020 get up to Eagle Point Park in Clinton, Ia rain or shine!

They ask that you line up at Noon and plan to leave at 1pm and end at Legends Sports Bar.

Admission is at least one toy donation.  They're also accepting coats, socks, hats, gloves, and canned food as well.  If you can't make it there will be donation boxes at local Dollar General and Walgreens stores in Clinton and Fulton. They will be collecting donations until mid December and will be distributed in Jackson, Clinton, and Whiteside counties.

I always love being a part of these toy runs but unfortunately with 2020 being 2020ish I couldn't host the kick off party for Abate of Iowa -15's Toys for Tots Run last week.  Somehow it slipped through and I wasn't able to talk about it on my show.  Hopefully everyone in the Quad Cities proper are able to find donation bins around here and give till your little heart is content.

Especially this year.  We all need to see a little more humanity in the world in the next couple months.  It's going to be hard for lots of folks so if you're in a position to help I hope you'll find a way to do so.
