These Are The Most Expensive Towns To Live in Mississippi
Mississippi definitely has a reputation for being a hard-working, blue-collar state. Just a big group of hard-working, no B.S. folks who go about their business and try to carve out a life for themselves and their families. This is certainly true for a good chunk of the state, but there are certain places where the people appreciate the finer things.
Homesnacks, a website that compiles data from around the globe, used statistics from the US Census coupled with other stats coming from sources like the FBI to put together a list of the top 10 priciest places in The Magnolia State.
To rank these cities and towns, we’ll take a look at the median income, average house price, the ratio between those two, and the cost of living index.
That index takes into account; food, shelter, transportation, energy, clothing, healthcare, and childcare and complies it into an easy to digest number that gives you a good idea of how costly it is to go about your day in a certain area.
A ‘100’ on the Cost of Living means you’re sitting right at the national average, anything above means you’re living the high life.
