Sheriff Judd: Criminal Sneaking Thermos Into FL Jail “Put It Up The Exit Ramp”
In the briefing, Judd said the whole thing started about a complaint about a naked man at a park - of course Sheriff Judd he was hilarious right off the bat.
"We got a call that he was naked inside of a restroom at a public park, so we asked – is he naked or buck naked?" You can be naked and still have your socks on, but if you’re buck naked you are totally naked," Judd explained.
When a deputy arrived to the park, he found the suspect, 51-year-old Walter Frymire, had put all of his clothes back on, but the deputy wasn't going to arrest him because he had been in the bathroom when he was naked. He walked him out of the park instead.
Judd said the deputy then watched as Frymire walked and hopped onto the railroad train track and trespassed again, so the deputy arrested him.
Frymire had 25 prior arrests and had been to state prison five times.
Sheriff Judd then went on to explain that all arresstees are put through a body scanner to make sure they aren't trying to bring any weapons like guns and knives or drugs of some kind into the jail.
Judd said Frymire "brought a thermos to the jail."
"That's right, he put it up the exit ramp. You know what I mean."
Accoridng to Judd, they asked Frymire. "We said ‘Dude! What are you doing here?’ He said, ‘Well, I put that inside my body.’ He didn’t swallow it twenty-four hours earlier.
Judd said the deputy most likely saved the guy's life by arresting him, even though Frymire threatened to kill him for doing so.
As for taking the guy to the hospital, Judd said "They had to find a specialist. It was quite the ordeal, but he’s thermos-less in the county jail today."
