Some dudes will always brush their teeth before having sex and consider that their contribution to foreplay. This new survey asked people what things they do before sex and then after sex.

Here are the most common pre-getting-it-on rituals:

  1. Taking a shower
  2. Brushing teeth
  3. Going to the bathroom
  4. Shaving
  5. Mouthwash
  6. Changing underwear
  7. Changing the sheets
  8. Putting on lingerie
  9. Flossing
  10. Lighting a candle

Some of the slightly less popular rituals include working out and eating certain foods like chocolate, pineapple, or oysters.

The most common post-sex rituals are:

  1. Cuddling
  2. Watching TV
  3. Drinking water
  4. Getting dressed
  5. Spooning
  6. Doing nothing but lying there
  7. Having a deep conversation
  8. Making food
  9. Ordering takeout
  10. Hopping on social media
